Visiting a Veg restaurant is not much excited for me. Recently The American Joint and now Zaika have impressed me.

Zaika Restaurant at Bhayander West is located very conviniently close to Maxus Mall. So after shopping we can pamper out tastebuds here.

Zaika had invited me to review their menu and this time I requested my Mom to accompany me since she is vegan.

We ordered following dishes :

1) Lemon Coriander Soup 160Rs. : Trust me I have never had such a mind blowing tasty soup ever. It has perfect spices, herbs, veggies, veg broth. Mom was amazed to taste this wonderful soup and was happy that her visit is worth to Zaika.

2) Paneer Hilltop 300Rs. : This was suggested by the Manager. This is something they are about to launch in revamped menu. We agreed and yes it was something to wait for and something that would make me come again. The Paneer on skewers were so perfect, tender, spicy enough with amazing smoky flavour. For a moment I felt I am eating Chicken Tikkka! My Mom who does not like Paneer much, she was amazed to taste this finger licking good Paneer.

3) Paneer Satay in Schezwan Sauce 260Rs. : This comes on Skewers too, just its a deep fried and then sauted in a sauce. The Paneer was succulent and had perfect flavour of Schezwan and the aromatic flavours of spices used.

4) Tawa Paneer Dry 245Rs. : This dish particularly did not make us happy. Possibly the error by the Chef or maybe this is how it is made. But it did not have that proper taste and it could not compete with other dishes that we loved. The same was conveyed to the manager and chef and they noted the feedback and promised us to improve on that part.

5) Methi Malai Mutter 190Rs. : This one is favorite and it was made perfect here. Perfect creamy gravy, perfect blend and taste of Methi and sufficient number of Mutter. Goes well with the Garlic Naan.

We also had their refreshing coolers :

1) Fruit Punch 140Rs. : Served in a tall glass, well garnished. Looks tempting and tastes amazingly refreshing.

2) Pinacolada 140Rs. : This classical drink is quite famous and they made it very well.

3) Blue Lagoon 140Rs : This is based on the Sprite, it looks very wonderful with the Blue and white foam on top, blue indigo color in the base. Refreshing drink with amazing presentation.

We were quite stuffed and hence could not order much in desserts. We ordered their Sundae and it was quite huge.

1) Jamaican Tricolor Sundae 190Rs. : Three scoops of Chocolate, Strawberry and Vanila and some nuts,served in a boat shape glass bowl.

Overall for me a pure veg restaurant was not exciting as Zaika made my experience wonderful. The food is so tasty here and the service they offered is commendable. Mom being a vegan loved the experience and the food. Its a place a family can visit for special occassions.

While speaking to MD Nishant I got to know about their Wedding destination property. They have a lavish banquets for wedding, have a couple duplex, 3 3BHKs, 5BHK properties that can accomodate around 70 guests for a wedding. So while they cater to food lovers, they also have good options for wedding.
