So on Monday evening we were invited for a dinner at Genuine Broaster Chicken. First I thought its just another QSR competing with KFC, but then I realized upon visiting that its a fine dine restaurant.

Broaster is US based company deals with Pressure fryers, as of now this is the 2nd outlet in Mumbai. They have plans to roll out many outlets by 2018.

In India, they have tied up with Chef Harpal Sokhi, who has curated the menu and gave a desi touch too most dishes.

Restaurant has a decor based on rustic eateries we see in Hollywood movies. Nice music, not so cosy sits, very dim lighting its a causal experience altogether.

We ordered following dishes :

1) Chicken Wings platter 519Rs. : It consisted 6 flavours ;Smoked BBQ, Kung Pao, Butter Garlic, Curried BBQ, Kasundi Mustard, Sriracha.

I think all these falvours were awesome and perfect. I loved the Sriracha, Kung Pao most. Wings were perfectly coated and fried.

2) Firangi Palak Chicken Dip 269Rs. : This one was surprisingly tasty, delicious appetizer. As the name suggests, its a desi touch to western dish. Cheesy dip with soft chicken chunks but with a twist of spinach. It is served with Grilled Pita bread, its perfect combination.

3) Butter Chicken Burger 259Rs. : Again this is something different! Our favorite Desi Butter Chicken is in the form of a western huge burger. The patty is made of the Butter Chicken and has good veggies, mint dips and sauces. Its a huge burger let me warn you! One burger down and you will feel stuffed to the brim. The server suggested we try The Great Khali Burger which is double huge than this burger.

4) Ghotala Khichadi 349Rs. : This is the winner dish for today's dinner! The desi khichadi with Chicken, Egg and Kheema with awesome masalas served with Raita and a Papad. It has some amazing masalas that is gives you strong flavours with every bite. Its a huge quantity so you need to share it.

5) Fishy Square 169Rs. : These small fish fillets were coated with breadcrumbs and deep fried. They were not upto the mark, they were very average. Possibly our choice was wrong at a Chicken specialty restaurant.

6) Grilled Chicken 399Rs. : This is a wholesome meal with Grilled Chicken Steak, Rice, Fries, Sauce, Greens. Its a complete meal for one. The variants in sauce is good, I had Masala Grilled, it was perfect succulent chicken.

7) Chulbul Soda 129Rs. : Coke with some spicy chat masala, its a refreshing drink and goes easily with most dishes.

8) Bulbul Soda 129Rs : Fanta with Caramel its a bit sweet but wonderful in taste. Both these drinks are popular here.

9) Palang Tod 199Rs. : A glass full of Redbull, then they add a small shots glass full of caffiene and it gives a different taste and ofcourse Redbull gives you wings! :P

10) Coconut Fudge 139Rs. : A twisted bottle full of chilled milkshake with Coconut milk and crushed ice. A mild flavour so when eating the heavy dishes, it might go bland.

11) Mango Shake 139Rs. : A twsited bottle full of mango and milkshake, it was quite wonderful and finished in seconds.

12) Chocolate Samosa with Mango Ice-cream 159Rs. : Mini samosas stuffed with crisp chocolate served with delicious mango ice cream. Every bite of Samosa with that heavnly delicious mango ice cream gives you some crisp chocolate taste and then the mango flavour bursts. Totally different and refreshing combination. Winner dish in desserts.

13) Gulkand Muffin 139Rs. : A traditional Muffin but with a desi touch. Who imagined a Gulkand version of Muffin? It was baked hot and once opened it was soft warm, with the Gulkand in it. Totally different twist, certainly a must try.

14) Oreo Phirni 179Rs. : Desi Phirni with Oreo, chocolate sauce. Sounds very different and delicious but this was an average dessert. The chocolate was over dominating hence the real phirni taste was nowhere to be found. It more tasted like a chocolate sauce. Gave the feedback to the manager about this combination not working properly. Hopefully it will be improved.

Service : The Staff here is very friendly, courteouos, energetic. The style of serving dishes on table is just wonderful. So kudos to the team for their best hospitality to offer.

Overall this restaurant is a best place for die hard chicken lovers. They also serve liqour, cocktails so you will also enjoy the drinks here with your loved ones.

This was a wonderful dinning experience for me and I will surely go again here for their best food, hospitality.
