Lume Restaurant and Bar, Andheri East

The Lume restaurant is located in the Aureole Hotel itself, with the silent surroundings, good greenery around.

Lume, Aureole, Patch of Sky all names really unique and taken from the Stars, Galaxy.

This property is a vegetarian preferred property so all their restaurants and bars are for vegetarians.

Probably this is the first bar I have been to which serves only veg. Though I could have drinks due to their Bartender coming late for the day.

Appetizers & Soups

1) Lemon Coriander Soup : Loved it, perfect spices, balance of lemon, coriander and garlic.

2) Paneer Pepper Tikka : Amazing option! Soft Paneer tikka with Black Pepper sprinkled roasted to perfection.

3) Tandoori Ajwain Aloo : This was not that satisfactory, the spices were dominated by the Ajwain.

4) Khichia Papad with Basil Cheese : Nice Bar nibbles option, though we did not have drinks. Melted Cheese on the fried Papad and some basil shredded gives perfect flavour.

Mains

1) Paneer Makhanwala : Simply amazing! Thick Creamy gravy with ample Paneer cubes so soft and succulent. Totally loved this one.

2) Amritsari Chole Puri : It was not authentic as we get at Dhabas, but it was still okay. A bit sweet on my taste.

3) Daal Tadkewali : Wholesome yellow daal with a red chilli tadka, superb flavours and aroma. Enjoyed this with jeera rice.

Desserts

1) Sizzling Brownie : The regular sizzling brownie with ice cream on a hot pan.

2) Chocolate Baloon : Very unique and wonderful option. A chocolate bowl (made of chocolate) full of choco chips, raisins, marshmallows and then hot chocolate sauce is poured over it to melt it down.

::: Service :::

The staff here is quite polite and courteous. The service was also quick and efficient. We were seated in the mezzanine floor where only we were dinning.

::: Ambiance :::

Yes, the ambiance is really wonderful. Wooden polished floor, walls, the glass fascade, the staircase all looks perfect. I loved the upstairs the mezzanine floor which has all wooden touch and nice comfy couch.

Overall the wonderful name Lume aptly suits the hostpiatlity they offer, the food served. Being within a hotel the prices are at par for this restaurant and bar. If you are in mood of a quiet dinner date or have a round of drinks this is a best option.
